Update:3/12/12
So…I fell off the health wagon for most of February. But, I have had my concepts of fitness class at school so I have been exercising here and there.
The reason I stopped for a while was because my grandma finally came home from the hostpital after being there for 3 and half months. My aunt came back down from NM to watch after her at her house and I spent most evenings and most the afternoon when I got home from school down there with them helping my aunt take care of my grandma. And we cooked most sinful dishes. There were some veggie stir fry’s in there but….mostly sinful food.
The last few weeks I have been trying to get back into the swing of things with school and working out. Well school comes first right now since it is the week before spring break and I have two essays to write, a history exam, a lot of mini English quizzes, and a 5 page final draft on my research paper. All which will be done by the weekend. Then spring break starts the 18th. Hell yes! Even though I won’t be doing anything since our vacation is in June this year. Oh well, it will be nice to be off of school.
What little exercise I have done in the last month have been improving for me. My concepts of fitness class did a rockport walk test on the treadmills in the gym. My fitness level is in the toilet. It took me 20 almost 30 minutes to walk a mile. I couldn’t walk over a 3.0 pace. Oh well. Last week the concepts class went to the gym Tuesday and Thursday. It was great! I have a good partner in that class she is very sweet. We started with a warm up of 10 or 15 minutes on the treadmill, then weight lifting machines, and a cool down on the bike about 20 minutes which was 4 to 6 miles I can’t remember. Then on Thursday we did about the same thing but I warmed up on the bike by doing three miles, weight lifting machines, a few free weight things, some stuff on the exerscise ball, and a cool down on the treadmill. After both days of working out I felt great the rest of the day. After I ate of course. I was so pleased not to be fatigued after to the point of almost passing out.
Inclosing, hopefully over this week and the weekend I can get back into working out and then really kick it in to gear during spring break. I hate that I lost momentum like that. AAAAHHH! Hopefully I can get the motivation back.
I weigh about 240 so I’ve lost 5 pounds over the last 2 months. Not bad. Wish it was more.

Day 11: 2/10/12
I can barely lift my arms. Oh goodness I am sore!
I’m currently waiting for my tea water to boil and then I’m making eggs and having tea. Yum!
Visiting with family today. Taking a day off from exercise since I’m super sore.
I’ll also need to find the time to clean my room and work on homework.
Fun! Not!
Day 10: 2/9/12
Oh my goodness. I had a day today. I tell you what.
My Concepts of Fitness class went to the gym for the first time today. The first time I’ve been back in the gym since early October. Anyway, I didn’t eat breakfast before working out….we all know where this is going, right? Well, I went in and the first thing I did was a few minutes of moderate to low walking to get my heart rate up then our professer took attendance and we started. We did two circuits of leg and arm machines 15 reps each time with as much weight as we could stand. Well being me I did a little bit more or just what I could handle. Then I did something I’ve never done….I used the elliptical machine for 5 minutes straight. Oh my lord was that tough. I got off and rested a minute then hopped back on and could only do another 2 minutes. I then switched to the treadmill to do my cool down and finish. Well….not to long after I had finished my workout I got really light headed and felt super weak. I hadn’t had anything to eat mind you. I felt awful. I had to sit on the bench outside of my classroom and broke down crying to my teacher because I felt so weak and just not right. I thought I was going to have a panic attack but I didn’t. So one of the school officials got me a bottle of orange juice and some saltines. I sat outside of my class and drank over half the bottle and about four crackers. I cooled down some and felt better. I collected myself and went back in and had to face a test on art history which was furthest from my mind at that time seeing as how I felt faint before. Well, after my test I had an orange, a string cheese stick, a few saltines, and some water. I felt way better after that. But, I had to go another two and half hours without eating a real meal. I finally left my three hour class early so I could go home and eat. What a day this was. But, I had lunch and got a shower as well as a 5 or 10 minute nap. I felt a ton better but I’ve still felt off the whole day. I wil be sore in the morning. It will be great though. On a second note I felt great while I was working out and had good energy for the rest of the day. I mean it’s 11:12 pm here and I’m not even that tired. My head kinda hurts.
Calories:
Breakfast: Nothing
Snack: Orange juice, saltines, fresh orange, banana chips, string cheese. Roughly 300cal
Lunch: Frozen fruit smoothie with strawberry greek yogurt in it so I could get some protein. 200cal
Dinner: Turkey sandwhich 300cal
I’m going to tack on an extra 100 calories because I had some nuts and a sugar free popsicle.
900 calories give or take.
My favorite part of the movie! This is what dedication is all about! Keep going, sure you are going to hit some bumps but keep going!
Day 9: 2/8/12
Calories:
Breakfast: 1/3 cup banana chips 150 cal, a few slices of a nectarine 0cal, and a mozzerella string(pull apart) cheese 80 cal
Lunch: a turkey wrap on a whole wheat tortilla 300 cal and the rest of the nectarine that I didn’t eat at breakfast 30 cal or something.
Dinner: 4 0z seared boneless skinless lean chicken breast 100 cal, string cheese 80 cal, and 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce with zero calorie sweetener and a dash of cinnamon 50 cal.
A total of 790 calories. I may have some fruit or snapea crisps later to add in a little more calories. But, I won’t be going over 900 calories.
My stomach has felt kind of off today so I hope I’m not getting sick. I’m going to take the night off from exercise since I’ve exercised every night for 9 days now. Probably not a good idea. Oh well.
Now to watch Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 and then study for my Art history test tomorrow. Oh, and My Concepts of Fitness class will be going to the gym tomorrow to learn how to use all the equipment in the college gym. I’ve used it before because I used the gym a few times last semester.
